Pioneering kite – therapy for young people

Every summer, Flyin Hearts Onlus in collaboration with Villa Santa Giuliana Hospital in Verona, gives a group of adolescents in psychiatric care the chance to take part in Wind Therapy, a unique rehabilitation program that uses sport and nature as tools for recovery.

During a week in Porto Pollo, Sardinia, participants are guided by educators, psychologists, and kitesurf instructors. Through physical activity, emotional awareness, and teamwork, they rediscover trust, balance, and self-confidence.

The project combines clinical practice and scientific research. In collaboration with the Catholic University of Milan, a dedicated study is validating the therapeutic benefits of Wind Therapy on emotional balance, self-esteem, and social skills.
